Born and raised in the Netherlands, Ms. Kloosterman has been in the field of Ergonomics since 1987. In Europe she directed return-to-work programs, including ergonomics for people with chronic back pain.

After coming to the US in 1995, she worked as an Occupational Therapist and Ergonomic Specialist for California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She provided all ergonomic assessments and training in the hospital, offices, laboratories and patients care settings. She also facilitated biofeedback , stress management training, and treatment for repetitive stress injuries (RSI) .

In 1999 Ms. Kloosterman founded EK Ergonomics. Since then, she has developed ergonomic programs for a variety of large corporations in the San Francisco Bay Area, including AOL Time Warner, Nokia, VeriSign and Applied Biosystems, with an emphasis on office and laboratory ergonomics.

In addition, Ms. Kloosterman has become a dynamic seminar facilitator and sought-after speaker, with a professional background in instructional design and facilitation. She is passionate about teaching and training.
